Welcome
Welcome to our Eucharistic Celebration on this Twenty-Eighth Sunday in Ordinary Time.
We come together today to give praise and glory to God in a spirit of gratitude. We are grateful to God for the gift of faith that blossoms within us and for God’s healing presence in each one of us and in the world, which makes us whole again. During the pandemic there have been times when collectively or individually we have not been able to gather together. We are especially grateful whenever we can do so once again. Let us maintain our gratitude for God’s blessings always.

Universal Prayer
A. For the Church, that we may be ever grateful to God for all the gifts we have received, instilling in all people a spirit of thankfulness and appreciation, let us pray to the Lord.
B. That leaders from the largest nations to the smallest towns may pay special attention to those who struggle with acceptance in society, especially those who are disabled, homeless, or imprisoned, let us pray to the Lord.
C. For Native Americans, that they may be treated with dignity and respect and that their histories and cultures may be treasured by our country, let us pray to the Lord.
D. For those who suffer from physical or mental illness, that they may know our Lord’s healing presence in their lives, let us pray to the Lord.
E. That we may give witness to others of our constant gratitude to God for all the blessings we have received, let us pray to the Lord.

Announcements
1. The Parish will be hosting a special night to remember our faithful departed on November 5 at 8:30 pm. Each family will have the opportunity to make an altar and decorate it according to their customs. Our priest will pass by each altar to bless and incense it, and at the end, we will share Day of the Dead bread and chocolate. You can sponsor an altar for a donation of $15. Reservations can be made at the Parish Center until October 30. There is limited availability.
