Universal Prayer

A. For Pope Francis and all the bishops, that they may shepherd the Church as the Good Shepherd would, leading us all through dark valleys down right paths to verdant pastures of goodness and kindness, let us pray to the Lord.

B. For leaders here and around the world, that they may find in the Good Shepherd an example to emulate as they lead their people with care and compassion, let us pray to the Lord.

C. For an end to violence in our communities, in our cities, and across our nation, so that we may all live free from the fear and trauma that violence brings, let us pray to the Lord.

D. For Catholics of all ages, that we may be open to the call of the Good Shepherd to ordained and lay ministries, let us pray to the Lord.

Announcements

1. This weekend, we will begin selling tickets for the Parish Fiesta. All those who buy their ticket from now until June 18 will participate in an early bird raffle with the grand prize of an iPhone 14. The raffle will take place on Father’s Day, and your ticket continues to participate in the main Parish Fiesta raffle, where the main prize is $5,000. Tickets can be purchased in the Parish Center.

2. Cardinal James Francis McIntyre was appointed Archbishop of Los Angeles in 1948, shortly after, he recognized funding hardships for public sources and began a fund which provides emergency help to persons who have nowhere else to go. The Fund acts to solve immediate, pressing problems. Our annual Cardinal McIntyre Fund collection is May 6-7, 2023.

3. Father Gustavo and his foundation, Amor por Teco, will be having a clothes sale this Sunday from 9am to 5pm in the Guadalupe Hall. All proceeds will go to the Tecolotlan health center.
