The Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed

Notes for this Weekend

Welcome

Welcome to our Eucharistic Celebration on this Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed.

We come together today to remember all who have died, particularly our deceased loved ones whom we mourn, whose memory we honor, and whose lives we value. We pray for them, trusting in God’s mercy and in Jesus’ promise that he is the resurrection and the life. Taking confidence in our faith that at the time of death our lives change but do not end, we regard those who have passed away as alive in the Lord, able to share in his ultimate victory over death.

The intentions of this Mass are for all those in our special intention basket and...

Please stand for our procession.

Universal Prayer

C. For all those who bring comfort, understanding, and peace to the bereaved—grief counselors and funeral directors, social workers and parish ministers—that they may be sustained in their vital ministry, let us pray to the Lord.

D. That this day of the dead may be a time of special closeness and sweet remembrance of our loved ones, let us pray to the Lord.
