Universal Prayer

A. For the Church, that we may shine forth with the light of Christ by sharing our bread with the hungry, sheltering the oppressed and the homeless, and satisfying the afflicted, let us pray to the Lord.

B. For elected leaders, that they may enact policies that assist those on the margins of society so that our nation may be a light to the world, let us pray to the Lord.

C. For those who suffer from isolation and loneliness, especially during these long winter months, that they may know the constant presence of the Holy Spirit, let us pray to the Lord.

D. For all women and men who have consecrated their lives to God, who have committed themselves to be salt of the earth and light to the world, let us pray to the Lord.
