Universal Prayer

A. For the Church, that Jesus may ever be born in our hearts, prompting us to recognize him in our neighbor, leading us to works of mercy and generosity, let us pray to the Lord.

B. That the angels’ glad tidings of peace may come to fruition, from war-torn areas of the world to areas of our nation beset by violence, let us pray to the Lord.

C. For those who are grieving the loss of a loved one and find this season especially difficult, that they may find hope and consolation in God’s tender care, let us pray to the Lord.

D. For all of us, that every time we celebrate the Eucharist we may be reminded of God’s magnificent gift of our Savior and Redeemer, let us pray to the Lord.
