First Sunday of Advent

Notes for this Weekend

Welcome

Welcome to our Eucharistic Celebration on this First Sunday of Advent

The intentions of this Mass are for all those in our special intention basket and...

Please stand for our procession.

Universal Prayer

A. That the nations of the world may “beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks,” using their resources to feed their people rather than arming themselves for conflict, let us pray to the Lord.

B. For all those who relied upon the generosity and hospitality of others for their Thanksgiving meal, that they may be cared for during the rest of the year as well, let us pray to the Lord.

C. For political prisoners, victims of religious persecution, and all who are unjustly imprisoned, that they may find hope in the Lord’s promise to remain with us always, let us pray to the Lord.

D. For our faith community, that we may take the initiative to prepare one another for the Lord’s coming at any day or time, let us pray to the Lord.

Fr. Arturo & Fr. Roberto Mass

E. For all the prayers that we hold in the silence of our hearts; for all our intentions spoken and unspoken, let us pray to the Lord.

Fr. Kamil’s Mass

E. For all the prayers that we hold in the silence of our hearts; for all our intentions spoken and unspoken, and for (read all intentions from 1st page), let us pray to the Lord.

Announcements

Commentators, please read the announcements when Father Kamil is presiding.

1. Today we have a second collection for the preparation of the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. We thank you for your generosity.

2. The funeral services of our late business manager and brother, Octavio Sanchez.  His services will take place on Monday, November 28.  In our church, there will be a vigil starting at 9:30 am.  The Mass will begin at 11:00 am, and there will be a reception afterward at Radahan Hall.  Octavio’s body will be returned to Mexico; thus, on that day, there will not be a graveside.  Continue to remember him and his family in your prayers.
