Notes for this Weekend
African American community with do Offertory procession.
Welcome
Welcome to our Eucharistic Celebration on this Thanksgiving Day
Gathered together with our loved ones on this special day, many of us will carry on the Thanksgiving tradition of going around the table and sharing what we are thankful for this year. Here and now let us think of how we are thankful to God. Gathered here around the Lord’s table, we bring to mind specific times when we felt the presence of the God who gifted us with life and love, with mercy and salvation, with goodness beyond our imagination. Let us respond in thanksgiving.
The intentions of this Mass are for all those in our special intention basket and...
Please stand for our procession.
Universal Prayer
A. For the Church, that we may give thanks for God’s goodness by sharing our blessings with those most in need, let us pray to the Lord.
B. For our world, that we may work together to care for the health of our common home so that life will continue to flourish, to multiply, and to give glory to God for innumerable generations to come, let us pray to the Lord.
C. For those whose grief or anxiety make it difficult to give thanks, that they may experience God’s healing and compassion through the care and concern of others, let us pray to the Lord.
D. For the safety of all those who are traveling for Thanksgiving, that their presence may bring joy to the hearts of their families and friends, and for those who cannot travel, that they may know the presence of loved ones in their hearts, let us pray to the Lord.
